Accessibility Statement for Public Sector Resourcing
This accessibility statement applies to www.publicsectorresourcing.co.uk and any subdomains associated e.g., careers.publicsectorresourcing.co.uk. Accessibility is fundamental to Public Sector Resourcing.
The site has recently relaunched and we are compliant to Level AA of the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. These guidelines are the internationally recognised benchmark for building accessible websites. WCAG 2.2 explains how to make websites more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformity to these guidelines also makes websites more user-friendly for all people.
How accessible this website is
We aim to ensure the Service can be used by everyone. For example, you should be able to:
- Change colours, contrast levels, and fonts using browser or device settings
- Consistent use of icons and buttons
- Descriptive page titles
- Videos include written text and voice overs
- Alternative text and image descriptions
- Limited flashing media
- Alternative authentication methods
- Text resizable up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen
- Navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader
- We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
- AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
Access Keys
The ability to navigate the site using other means than a mouse can be important for those who have difficulties using a mouse or other pointing devices. To help with this we have set up ‘Access Keys’ (see below) on the site which allow easy navigation to the main pages on the web site.
As well as helping those who have difficulty using a mouse it also allows quick access to the main pages for anyone who prefers to use the keyboard. To use the access keys on the site follow these steps:
- Press and hold the ‘Alt’ key
- Press the required character
If necessary, release all keys and press the return key. The browser will then load the relevant page.
To use the access keys when using Firefox, hold ‘Alt’ and ‘Shift’ combined with the desired access key.
Government standard:
- 1 – Homepage
- 6 – Help
- 8 – Terms & Conditions
In addition to standard UK Government access keys we have added some of our own specific to Public Sector Resourcing:
- A – About Us
- P – Privacy Policy
- C – Contact Us

The Public Sector Resourcing website has been designed to work correctly with the following list of browsers and operating systems:

Consistent Navigation
We have kept the navigation consistent throughout the site. All the top level pages and sections are available from every single page on the site. Other consistent navigational aids include the site map and the section headers.
Screen Settings
This website’s pages will look and function as intended, at a display setting of 1024 x 768 pixels or higher. This should satisfy the vast majority of users. The pages will also work at 800 x 600 and 640 x 480 pixels, although it may occasionally be necessary to scroll horizontally.
Screen Readers
Public Sector Resourcing has been designed so users of Screen Reader can benefit from our use of meaningful headings, link text and alternative text.
Enlarging Text

Select your preferred ‘Text Size’ using your mouse, alternatively use the up and down arrow keys and press ‘Enter’.

Non- accessible content
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible such as:
- You cannot modify the line height or spacing of text
- You cannot skip to the main content when using a screen reader
- Some videos do not include voice-overs
The above are non-compliances because the content in question is in scope of the regulations, but there is an accessibility problem with it, that will be investigated in due course.
