Your responsibilities as a national security clearance holder

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
Pre-employment screening for ANYONE with access to government assets.
Checks involved: Identity (ID), Right to Work (RTW) in the UK, Employment History, Criminal Record (unspent)
Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
Pre-employment screening for ANYONE with access to individuals, information or property assessed as being of potential interest to terrorists.
Checks involved: BPSS Check, Security Questionnaire , Security Service record Check, Department/Company record Check, Spent & Unspent Criminal Checks, Possible Interview
Security Check (SC)
Pre-employment screening for ANYONE who will have frequent access to SECRET ASSETS and/or supervised access to TOP SECRET assets.
Checks Involved: BPSS Check, Security Questionnaire , Security Service record Check, Department/Company record Check, Spent & Unspent Criminal Checks, Credit & Financial Check, Security Service Record Check, Possible Interview/Financial Questionnaire
Developed Vetting (DV)
Pre-employment screening for ANYONE who will have frequent unsupervised access to TOP SECRET ASSETS.
Checks Involved: BPSS Check, DV Security Questionnaire, Department/Company Record Check, Spent & Unspent Record check, Credit & Financial Check, Security Service Record Check, Personal Finance review, Possible Interview/Financial Questionnaire/3rd Party Check
