Customers can access a bench of around 250 Technology specialists at any given time, including apprentices, graduates, returners to work, and ex-forces personnel.
Skills Academy workers have already undergone Tech Industry Gold accredited training, covering a blend of business and digital skills to specialise in Digital Data and Technology.
Providing customers with a quick and cost-effective talent option for all Digital and Data roles.
What is it suitable for?
The PSR team will evaluate the availability of a Skills Academy worker for the role. If a worker is available, the option will be presented to the hiring manager.
They may choose to:
- Include the Skills Academy worker in the interview and assessment process alongside the sourcing of traditional professional contingent labour candidates, or
- Focus solely on the Skills Academy worker.
If the hiring manager opts for the Skills Academy-only route, they can either conduct a formal interview with the Skills Academy worker or choose a one-week free trial as an alternative to the interview.
We have recently hired a number of Junior QA/Test Engineers through the Skills Academy route and have found the process has enabled us to both work at pace and with the normal checks and balances we expect when recruiting through PSR. We have been content with all of the engineers that have landed who have got up to speed and productive very quickly. The option to trial, free of charge with no obligation, an engineer to confirm they are an appropriate fit works well.
